Kate Orman

From Fan History Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Kate Orman was a Star Trek and Doctor Who([1]) fan fiction writer and reader involved with the fandom on-line and off. Kate Orman is notable because, based on Usenet archives, she was one of the first people to use a drabble in a purely fannish context. This was done on alt.startrek.creative in July of 1993. This post referenced another drabble posted to the group earlier. She was also involved in the Australian Doctor Who fandom and GLBT fan fiction communities.

She was the co-editor (with Sarah Groenewegen) of the now very hard to find fanzine Bog Off!, containing some of the earliest known Doctor Who slash.
