[edit] History

"Galbadia Hotel launched in summer 2005 as a side-project of Final Fantasy Shrine. Galbadia Hotel was originally intended to be a media site for all Final Fantasy related downloads we could get our hands on. Eventually we realized this was limiting the site's potential, and expanded to RPGs in general, and eventually the whole videogame industry." [1]

On June 29, 2008, the site was featured on clairvoyantwank. [2]

As of January 11, 2009, the following message is on the site's page:

GH Needs Donations to Continue Existing

Hosting is costing us ~2,000$ a month. In addition to this, our current hosting company
just filled for bankruptcy; this means we need ~2,500$ by the 1st to move to a new hosting
company because setup fees will need to be payed also.
Any additional money beyond the 2,500$ will be saved for the bills from future months.
The top 5 donators by the 1st will recieve a free lifetime mass-downloads account. The winners
will be announced on the forums on the 1st.
Please donate to keep GH alive. [3]

[edit] Funding
