Gypsy is a fan fiction writer who is also known as Morrigain. [1] She became famous when on September 4, 1999, she published "Harry Potter and the Man of Unknown" on FanFiction.Net, the was the first piece of Harry Potter fan fiction posted to this site. Her story became a central point for many people in that fandom. Her stories were discussed on Amazon.com's Harry Potter boards. [2]
Harry Potter's Realm of Wizardy was one of the early Harry Potter fan fiction sites. It was created by Gypsy. [3]
Plagiarism continued to be a problem in the Harry Potter fan fiction community in 2006 with authors such as Gypsy and its_art having their work plagiarized and posted to the Harry Potter fan fiction archive, HPStories.com. [4]
