dotmoon.net is a multi-fandom archive and community that hosts stories and artwork. It opened January 1, 2006 and contains a fiction library, an artwork gallery, a forum, and a directory of links contributed by its members. It also hosts the annual UFO Awards for fan fiction, and runs seasonal writing and artwork challenges on its forum every three months.

.moon is run by Dejana Talis, who does all the programming outside of the forum and acts as forum administrator. There are also story, art, and forum moderators that assist in approving content and ensuring adherence to the site rules, and a team of beta-testers that helps determine new policies and tests new site features.
[edit] Archive Policies
.moon accepts fanfiction and fanart for any fandom based on a work of fiction. Original work is also accepted. It does not accept bandfic or any other kind of real-person fanfiction.
Moderators check each submission to ensure it is formatted and submitted correctly and does not contain an excessive amount of spelling or grammar errors. All content ratings are permitted, from all-audiences to adult. Age verification methods are in place to prevent minors from accessing adult material.
There is a special section of the library titled the "Vignette Collection" for drabbles and other short stories of less than 750 words.
The New Writing and New Artwork pages are updated every Sunday with a list of the stories and artwork that were added to the archive during the previous week.

The domain for .moon - the living fandom was registered on April 4, 2005. [1]
Beta-testing of the site began in October 2005, and the community opened to the public on January 1, 2006.
The "Vignettes Collection" for stories of less than 750 words was added to the library on February 15, 2006.
The Portal section, a directory of links contributed by community members, opened on June 18, 2006.
The UFO Awards for fan fiction began February 18, 2007 with nominations for the 2006 awards. The UFO Awards are held annually and do not require membership to the site.

.moon is funded entirely by its administrator, Dejana Talis.

As of September 21, 2007, there are 761 stories, 65 pieces of artwork, and 526 members on the site, representing 73 different fandoms.
