[edit] Introduction

150_comms was started as an "archive" for themed communities on LiveJournal, whether weekly prompts or tabled prompts, especially those inspired by 30_kisses, fanfic100, and wednesday100. Members may also advertise themed communities at 150_comms. Using the database, viewers may search for themed communities under a variety of categories, including but not limited to how many themes are present, how many sets of themes are there from which to choose, which fandoms are allowed, and which day a prompt is issued. Additionally, there are a few miscellaneous categories, such as those communities which are not in English.

[edit] Moderators

The only moderator for 150_comms is free_mod, a LiveJournal account of Arabian Princess.

[edit] Community history

150_comms was founded on March 27, 2006, by Arabian Princess using the account free_mod, originally just archiving themed communities with prompt tables. On May 10, 2006, 150_comms expanded to have "two" databases. While keeping the "traditional" themed communities which have tables of prompts, a separate database was started as an archive of communities which issue weekly (or daily or monthly) prompts. New communities are being added constantly with an update from the moderator listing the changes to the archive, and new categories are added as needed. As of April 21, 2008, there are a total of 525 communities listed in the database.

On August 7, 2007, imitating communities were set up on GreatestJournal (150_comms) and on InsaneJournal (150_asylums) by Arabian Princess because of the exodus from LiveJournal. On December 29, 2007, 150_asylums started its own database and has 46 asylums archived as of April 2008. As of April 2008, the one on GreatestJournal has not fully set up due to lack of activity on GreatestJournal.

[edit] Members
