- On April 13, 2002, While my wife and I were separated... by Carmabaeji - Lively Aria was published on FanFiction.Net. [1] It was the first 24 story published on the site.

- On December 7, 2003, the LiveJournal community 24_fanfic was founded. It was dedicated to 24 fan fiction. [2]

- On June 2, 2004, the LiveJournal community 24_ficlets was created. It was dedicated to 24 fan fiction. [3]

- On March 1, 2005, the multifandom cop show themed LiveJournal community copshows was created. It represented several fandoms including this one. [4]
- On July 10, 2005, the LiveJournal community 24femmeslash was created. It was dedicated to 24 saffic. [5]

- In January 2007, after reports came out that Muslims were offended as being always portrayed as terrorist on the show, the community discussed this. It upset some members of the fandom because they saw some of the comments as fundamentally racist. [7]
