[edit] Introduction
Airwolf first went on the air in 1984. It ended its original run in 1987. Between that first airing and 1988, the fandom had a noticable fan fiction community that was involved with zine production. This tradition continued on later. In 1989, an Airwolf story was included Heat #4. By 2000, this fandom was present on-line. As proof of this is Airwolf-fic, an Airwolf fan fiction mailing list, founded on June 22.
