[edit] About

Alain has been a fan of Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers since its first airing in his country in 1990. He rediscovered the series on Christmas Eve 2005 when he spotted a picture of the character Gadget on the evening news. Childhood memories came back and he lurked for a while on various fan-sites until he found "Of Mice and Mayhem". That is a famous fanfic from the hand of Chris Fisher (a.k.a. Fish). He found a link to The Acorn Café in the summer of 2006 and joined the Café on July 29, 2006. He's a semi-regular poster now. Alain is an avid Macintosh-user.

[edit] Contributions to the CDRR fandom

[edit] Save The Rescue Rangers petition

Organized by Alain, some Rescue Ranger fans organized a petition to revive the Rescue Rangers series and merchandising line. Although the series weren't revived, some new merchandising was put out for sale.

[edit] European Rescue Rangers DVDs

On September 2, 2006 Alain had contact with Disney Benelux to inquire about an European release of the Rescue Rangers DVD sets. After some lobbying, he received a positive answer. Germany, the U.K, France were the first countries to receive a release while smaller countries had to wait until April 4, 2007. European Rescue Rangers DVDs are sold individually, not per 3 DVDs.

[edit] 2007 EuroRangerCon

Alain hosted the world's first successfull, albeit small, Rescue Rangers fan convention.

[edit] Poster for Tad Stones

pupspals, another member of the Rangerphile community, happened to work together with Tad Stones, the creator of the Rescue Rangers. The Rangerphiles took the chance and created a poster signed by several fans to thank him for his work. Alain collected these scanned-in signatures, compiled the poster, had it printed, and mailed it to pupspals.
