- On October 10, 1997, the Pink Rabbit Consortium [1] was founded. This site was home to some of the best f/f on the Internet for a variety of fandoms including Alien, All My Children, Babylon 5, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, ER, Law & Order, NYPD Blue, Star Trek: Voyager and Xena.

- On January 12, 1999, Aliens: Xenomorph Wars, chapter 1 by Hells Minion became the first Alien story published on FanFiction.Net. [2][3]

- On March 13, 2003, a French language article about the movie was created on Wikipedia. [4]
- On August 7, 2003, an Italian language article about the movie was created on Wikipedia. [5]
- On August 11, 2003, the LiveJournal community alienvspredator was created. [6]

- On January 14, 2004, the LiveJournal community avp_themovie was created. [7]
