Arisia is New England's largest science fiction and fantasy convention. It takes place annually in the Boston area in January or February. It is sponsored by Arisia Inc., a volunteer non-profit organization to promote science fiction and fantasy in the area. Typical events include an art show, masquerade, gaming, dealers room, panel discussions and video and anime screenings.

The first conception of a Boston-area science fiction convention took place in the 1940s. Boskone, a play on Boston + convention, was settled upon, referring to an organization in the "Lensman" novels by E. E. "Doc" Smith.

In the late 1980s a group of fans in the Boston area decided to form a new convention. Arisia was suggested as the name, another reference to the Lensman books.

• Arisia '96 took place January 12 - January 14, 1996 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '97 took place January 10 - January 12, 1997 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '98 took place January 16 - January 18, 1998 at the Westin Waltham-Boston in Waltham, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '99 took place January 8 - January 10, 1999 at the Westin Copley Place in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '00 took place January 14 - January 16, 2000 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '01 took place January 12 - January 14, 2001 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '02 took place January 18 - January 20, 2002 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '03 took place January 17 - January 19, 2003 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '04 took place January 16 - January 18, 2004 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '05 took place January 21 - January 23, 2005 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '06 took place January 13 - January 15, 2006 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers in Boston, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '07 took place January 12 - January 14, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '08 took place January 18 - January 21, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
• Arisia '09 took place January 16 - January 19, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Guests of Honor included Walter H. Hunt, Dave Seeley, Ricky Dick & Karen Dick.
• Arisia '10 is scheduled for January 15 - January 18, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
