Arkaidy is a fan fiction writer who joined FanFiction.net in 2000.

Arkaidy focusses particularily on the whys and wherefores of the Mary Sue as a literary device and genre. Many of her fics, especially the on-going pan-fandom Slipstream [1] series and the complete Xena/Hercules Across Time [2] series explore what it means to be a Mary Sue, why people write them, and what it would realistically be like to actually fall into a fandom. With her fics, Arkaidy seeks to breakdown and build back the Mary Sue and push MS readers and writers towards a new kind of Sue who is critical, literary, and aware: the Meta Sue.
