The following definition dates to May 2005 in the slash, Westlife, and Lord of the Rings fandoms:
- B&D, B/D, bd, BD, Bondage & Domination or Bondage & Discipline - Often used interchangably with d&s and s&m, although some people refer to b&d as bondage without pain, or without defined/static power roles. [1]
