"Bounty" was very popular when it first aired and remains popular with fans to this day. When it first aired in the third season, it would prove to be the last A-Team episode to reach #1 in the television ratings in the United States. Much of this was due to the easy on-screen chemistry between Dwight Schultz and his wife, Wendy Fulton, as Murdock and Kelly. Their relationship would be favored by many fans and make Murdock/Kelly one of the most popular ships for Murdock--perhaps the most popular het pairing. A great deal of fan-fiction would include Kelly from this point forward, either in missing scenes or follow-ups to this episode or just considering her part of Murdock's "canon".
