Buddyfic

Buddyfic is a genre of fan fiction which features two people who are good friends. This type of story can potentially be devoid of emotional content. It often explores the relationship of those good friends. This term was used in the Starsky and Hutch fandom. Its usage in the fan fiction community predates 1995.
