[edit] Categories and subcategories
I've been editing articles so that they don't appear in a subcategory as well as the parent category, as per Wikipedia standard. Before I did that here, though, I wanted to check to make sure that's ok. What do you think, Laura? Removed Category:Fandom from articles that appear in Fandom subcategories? -Jae 08:59, 16 October 2007 (CDT)
- That's fine. I was thinking about doing something similar... like going through and fixing up say BandFic to rename the whole category Music fandom, with subcategories like Music fan fiction archives, music fandoms, etc. so that things can be more easily findable. It just takes time. :/ I know I half started on some stuff... cleaning out uhhh. I did that with fan fiction archives sort of to help make the thing easier to find and be less fan fiction centric. I'm babbling. But that sounds fine. I would sort of like to clean out though so the categories say Music fandoms, cartoon fandoms as part of the category name, rather than just cartoons. --Laura 09:32, 16 October 2007 (CDT)
- K, I just started today. For the time being, I'm just removing the Category:Fandom. I agree that changing the categories to Cartoon fandoms, etc is a good idea, but I can only handle one thing at a time. lol -Jae 10:57, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

- Yeah! TelevisionFic and BandFic categories are all cleaned out and moved to Television and Music fandoms. :-D The rest is almost done too. *cheers* --Laura 05:14, 3 December 2007 (CST)
[edit] Category vs Category Fandom
Hey Laura, I noticed that everything is split into two (like 'Comics' and then 'Comics Fandom'). What goes in each category? I was working on the InsaneJournal articles, so, for a specific question, would Anime Directory go in Category:Anime or Category:Anime fandoms? -Jae 22:09, 16 December 2007 (CST)
[edit] Create a Theater fandom category?
For fandoms such as Rent, Wicked, Les Mis, etc, which are either theater only or crossed over with book/movie/etc fandoms?--Sidewinder 09:04, 1 May 2008 (EDT)
