Figured I would add this as a top level category. I know it crosses over with various mediums... but it really has a unique subculture and is its own fandom like anime, comics, media, etc. I'd argue anime is similar to science fiction in that it crosses over with mediums. It makes it a nightmare to integrate into the existing framework.
Would love to hear other viewpoints regarding this communitybefore trying to integrate it more into the wiki. I don't know how much science fiction fandom needs to be covered in the wiki just because they're excellent at their own history. Some fabulous science fiction historians are out there. Some fabulous sites exist just dedicated to do that. --Laura 21:53, 19 December 2007 (CST)
