[edit] Question on naming convention: television episodes
I noticed that episodebot named articles using the convention "Episode name (Television series)", which would put all episodes in an alphabetical sort.
When I had been manually creating episode stub articles in the past, I did so using "Season#.Episode# Episode name", which caused episodes to be listed in airing order.
Do we have a preference on which is preferred? I would assume given the volume of episodes added by the bot, the alphabetical sort is preferred, in which care I can fix those I manually added (and then perhaps have a page created for each fandom listing the episodes in airing order?)--Sidewinder 15:47, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- It will come down to the fandom. The help page has been started at Help:Episodes and really needs to be linked on Help:Contents. The series and episode in the title was because in many cases, the database did not have episode numbers or production numbers... and there are a number of shows that have the same episode. It just makes it easier in many cases to have that naming strategy when dealing with scale. :/ --Laura 17:44, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
