Below is a partial timeline of events that took place in the Charmed fan fiction community.

- On October 10, 1998, the mailing listed Charmedfic was created for the posting of Charmed fan fiction. [1]
- On December 5, 1998, the mailing list Charmed-Fan-Fiction was created for the posting of Charmed fan fiction. [2]

- On April 11, 1999, the mailing list -CharmedFanfiction- was created for the posting of Charmed fan fiction. [3]
- On April 14, 1999, the mailing list CharmedFanFiction was created. [4]
- On May 25, 1999, the mailing list Charmed-Fiction was created for the posting of Charmed fan fiction. [5]

- On May 14, 2000, the mailing list CharmedFanFictionsCrossovers was created for the posting of Charmed crossover fan fiction. [6]
- Sometime around June of 2000, the site Bad Fanfic! No Biscuit! was created by Siubhan and Joan the English Chick. The site, last updated in January of 2001, introduced or helped further the concept of badfic into a number of additional fan fiction communities, including this one. Unlike some badfic websites or sites which just pointed out badfic, as in of accidental inferior quality, the site had deliberate badfic and explanations as to what was not right with the story, what made the story bad.
- On October 1, 2000, the mailing list the_new_charmed_ones was created for Charmed fan fiction. [7]

- On November 17, 2001, the Charmed mailing list Phoebe_n_Cole_FanFic was created and dedicated to the characters Phoebe and Cole. [8]

- On April 26, 2003, the Charmed role playing mailing list charmedp3_rpg was created. [9]
- On July 1, 2003, the mailing list number_1_charmed_fan was created. It was dedicated to Charmed fan fiction. [10]
- On November 24, 2003, the LiveJournal community charmedflashfic was created as a Charmed challenge community. [11]

- On March 31, 2004, the LiveJournal community charmedff was created for Charmed fan fiction. [12]
- On May 20, 2004, the mailing list TheForbiddenOnes was created for the posting of and discussion of the Charmed pairing Piper/Cole. [13]
- On May 26, 2004, the LiveJournal community charmedficrecs was created for the reccomendation of Charmed fan fiction. [14]
- On July 2, 2004, the LiveJournal community _charmed_ones was created for the discussion of Charmed. It also encouraged the posting of Charmed fan fiction. [15]

- On July 5, 2006, the Charmed mailing list Powerof3_FanFiction was created. [16]

- On January 1, 2007, the LiveJournal community 7musicalmusesv2 was created, and it hoped to include Charmed among its fandoms.
