Cheile was a member of the Star Trek: Voyager fan fiction community (and still is). She is a Paris/Torres and Janeway/Chakotay shipper. She was an early decrier of God Awful Trek Fic, due to their encouraging backstabbing behavior among the Trek fans. Back in the late 1990s, she became a member of first the Parisites, then shortly thereafter, JetC and PTFever. She was a close friend of Ronda Sexton and Veronica Williams and has retained her friendships with many of the JetCers.
