As described in the community's profile page: This is a community for '60s/'70s band slash. That means stories, drawings, videos, icons, etc. Whatever you can think of, you can post here, as long as it's slashy and.. er.. bandy.[1] Bandoms frequently featured in this community include Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, The Police, and The Who. But mostly the Floyd.
It was created by siko_k, entropicalia and mooserevenge while talking on MSN one night. After mooserevenge, in some sort of hyperactive crack high kept on bugging the other two about writing a Pink Floyd furry slash fiction "for teh lulz", the idea to make a LiveJournal community was born. After about an hour of discussing the name for said community (one of the suggestions was grey_pubes), they decided on classicrockcock. And the rest is history. Apparently.

- classicrockcock was first created on August 16, 2007. The first story posted to the community was "A Curious Feeling of Falling", a Pink Floyd slash fic by entropicalia.[2]
- As of November 2007, the community had 63 members.
