Cory Stickel

Cory Anne Stickel (March 6, 1981 to present) is an American fan fiction writer who joined FanFiction.net in 2003 and FictionPress.com in 2009. She has written three novels and two short story compilations for the fan fiction genre, and has occasionally written under the pen-name Mishi, The EFX Mistress.

Cory Anne Stickel was born in Muskegon, Michigan, and is the eldest of three children. She attended North Muskegon Public Schools, where she started writing in the sixth grade. After graduating from high school in 1999, she moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to work at Metropolitan Hospital, where she continued to write during breaks and lunches. Cory Anne's first set of stories, The Phantom Wars, was published in 2001 and 2002 on The Michael Crawford Phantom Movie Campaign [1] website under the pen-name Mishi, The EFX Mistress. The novel EFX, loosely based on the Las Vegas musical [2] of the same name, followed in 2003 on FanFiction.net.
In November of 2003, Cory Anne switched her preferred fandom to The 10th Kingdom [3], releasing Once Upon a Time was a Backbeat and The Young are the Strong, the first in the four-book series The Future Ain't What it Used to Be. Tales from The 10th Kingdom followed in 2008; a collection of short stories that were written in 2005 and 2006.
In 2007, Cory Anne released the original sci-fi/romance The Valley of Von-Dar [4], which she helped write with Sci-Fi author Jeffrey Redmond. Since then, she has been working on a detective novel and a collection of poetry and original short stories, which can be found on FictionPress.com [5].
Cory Anne is currently living in Muskegon, Michigan with her daughter Brianna.
