Crack!Fic

Crack!fic is a term used in several connotations in regards to Fan fiction. Most often it is used to refer to plot or premise ideas that are so far out the author had to have been on the drug Crack to have come up with them. In other uses, it is meant to refer to Fan fiction that for various reasons (poor plotting, poor execution, excessively silly or OOC, that readers are almost embarrassed to say they are reading whatever story or series they have become addicted to like a crack addict. "A fanfic whose concept is so out there, one wonders what the author was snorting when they wrote. Sometimes deliberate, sometimes just WTF?" [1]
The term is used as both derogatory and affectionate.

- Crazy, often pointless fanfic, written solely to entertain; its plot usually makes little sense to anyone who (unlike the author) isn't hyper when faced with the story. [2]
