Creation Entertainment is a for-profit company based in Glendale, California which puts on "pro"-run (vs. "fan"-run) conventions for a variety of media fandoms. It is most widely known for its Star Trek conventions but it has put on many other events including fandoms such as Beauty and the Beast, Xena, Hercules, Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Farscape and Supernatural. Creation was founded in 1971 by Gary Berman and Adam Malin in New York.[1]

Creation has a mixed reputation among fans and other convention organizers. While their budget allows them to book and present larger name guests unavailable to smaller conventions, their events are often looked upon as overly commercial and very expensive for attendees. There is often very little programming other than a main stage for guest appearances, an autograph line, and a dealer's room or area. They have also been accused of squeezing smaller fan-run cons out of certain markets and asking for exclusive-appearance contracts with guests who have appeared at their events.[2],[3]
