Below is a partial timeline of events that took place in this fan community.

In 1996, the first Creatures game was released. [1]
In August 1997, the term "Creatures Community" was first used by Toby Simpson. [2]
On February 21, 2005, Creatures Wiki was the first Featured WikiCity. [3]
On May 17, 2007, creatureswiki.com was registered by Wikia. [4] The status of the domain was registered but no website.
In June 2008, the community was upset when they discovered that Wikia had bought the domain related to their wiki. [5] They were not notified of it, nor was the domain that Wikia had purchased pointing towards their wiki. They asked Wikia about it and were basically told that the domain would not be turned over to the community if the community should leave because you can't hand a domain over to a community. [6]
