Daemon was one of the first people to use the term badfic in the Beauty and the Beast fandom. In June of 1998, the Beauty and the Beast community members daemon, Diane and Sandy2 had mentioned it on alt.tv.beauty beast. The discussion these three authors were involved in referenced The X-Files Badfic Hall of Shame which suggests they may have been involved in the X-Files fandom too.
