Daikeru is a term used to refer to a story involving a romantic relationship between Motomiya Daisuke (Davis) and Takaishi Takeru (TK) in the Digimon fandom. Its usage predates 2000.

At the beginning of the show, Daisuke sees Takeru as a rival for Yagami Hikari's affection. In the American version of the show, Davis insults TK by pretending not to remember his name, calling him "TJ," etc. This "love-hate" aspect of the boys' relationship can be found in many Daikeru stories.

• Cadela was both an author and artist of the Daikeru fandom. Her stories are still on FanFiction.Net and her website is still online, though no longer updated.
