Darkness Rising was a Slayers fan fiction archive created by Ifni no Miko. This archive allowed all pairings, and contained an extensive cross-references section to allow searching by genre, format, character, pairing, etc.[1]

- I said I'd post archive every Slayers fic written and released and that is my continuing goal.

As of August 17, 2006, the Slayers archive at Darkness Rising contained 1725 fan fiction works by 303 different authors, and was once the largest archive in Slayers fandom. It was eventually overtaken and surpassed by FanFiction.Net; as of August 17, 2006, the Slayers section of FanFiction.Net contained 4288 fan fiction works.
Darkness Rising was originally hosted on Geocities, but moved to its own domain in December 2000.
Darkness Rising also contained smaller fan fiction archives for Final Fantasy VII (Shinra-based only), Weiss Kreuz, and Rockman.
