The community was created on January 3, 2007. [1]
On April 7, 2008, fandomsecrets received notification from LiveJournal that someone had filed a DMCA take-down notice, alleging the community had violated someone's copyright. [2]

In July and August 2007, a number of Kingdom Hearts related secrets were being posted to fandomsecrets. [3]
The political feelings regarding the Hillary/Obama campaign have made it difficult for anyone to mount a serious Hillary/Obama fandom, like there was for Kerry/Edwards. Despite that, there are a few references to a potential fandom lurking out there on places like fandomsecrets in February and March 2008. [4][5]
