On September 12, 2002, FanFiction.Net banned all Real Person Fic from their site. Linkin Park fen started publishing to several sites, including fanfictionlog, Soup Fiction, and FanDomination.Net. They also moved part of their community to LiveJournal. One of the early and important communities was fanficdotnet. It was deleted from LiveJournal in February of 2003 after a kerfluffle involving story quality. (Herongale)
