[edit] Introduction

Different languages have different histories and issues. FanHistory.Com would like to get more representation from these other language communities, both in sharing the history of the English language community and in documenting the history of non-English fandoms.

[edit] Translation policy

Translations do not need to be literal translations of everything on the English language page. It does not need to match content for content. It would be ideal to use the English language templates to match the general content goals. Otherwise, translators can pretty much translate as the needs of that language community sees the need. If non-English pages include information not included on the English page, please make some note of that on the English language page, either on the discussion page for the article or in the article.

[edit] Page names

For non-English pages, the pages should have the same title and category structure as the English page but appended with a slash and the two letter language designator. Example: Harry Potter/ru, Cassandra Claire/ru for Russian, Harry Potter/es, Star Wars/es for Spanish. Category Additions should be similar: Harry Potter in Russian.

[edit] Template

When an article is done in more than one language, please include this template on the bottom of the page to let people know.
