This article is an expanded version of the list that appears on Fanhistory.com:To_do... This list covers all articles that are related to Category:Music.

Anyone may contribute to this list, adding tasks that they notice need to be completed or removing tasks that have been completed. For discussion of this list and tasks, please use the article's talk page.

... make sure that all the page names in the sub categories have defaultsort done so articles and categories ignore the words the and a when sorting.
... deemphasize fan fiction on existing pages in the music fandom category.
... promote music fandom articles, asking for people to help contribute to the articles.
... work on adding content so that stub listings can be removed.
... create template to indicate that some articles are a class above stubs.
... add featured article status to better articles in the music fandom category.
... change all character page names and categories that use just first names to ones that use last names or have the fandom the character is from in parentheses after it, ex: Spock (Star Trek character).

This article has been identified on Fan History: Music to do list as needing a major rewrite.

There are some articles, that because of the growth of the article or because of new knowledge, require total rewrites. Articles that have been designated with this will generally have all their content removed, subheadings added and then contributers are asked to fill in these new sections. This article has been identified on Fan History's to do list as needing a major rewrite.

There are some articles, that because of the growth of the article or because of new knowledge, require total rewrites. These articles cross all parts of the wiki, dealing with multiple segments at once. Articles that have been designated with this will generally have all their content removed, subheadings added and then contributers are asked to fill in these new sections. When the article has been completely rewritten and reformatted to the point where it could be considered good, the article will be removed from the list.
