- rec.arts.anime.creative replaced rec.arts.anime.stories in March 1996 according to the FAQ for rec.arts.anime.creative but new Usenet groups post indicates that the group was approved on April 8, 1996.
- On April 8, 2005, the x_edit community was created on LiveJournal. The community was founded to help pair fan fiction writers up with beta readers. (mofic: [1])
