- On February 28, 2001, the granger-weasley mailing list was founded. This list, dedicated to the Ron/Hermione ship, had its volume peaked around June of 2002.
- On February 28, 2005, the LiveJournal community spoilerjunkies was founded as a place to post and discuss spoilers and speculations for upcoming episodes of the show.
- On February 28, 2005, the Aerosmith LiveJournal community aerosmithicons was created. [1]
- On February 28, 2006, the LiveJournal Weeds fanfic community weeds_fic was created. [2]
- On February 28, 2006, the CSI LiveJournal community csi_gazette was created. [3]
- On February 28, 2007, Philip Mak, the owner of The Shoujo Ai Archive[4] and Yuricon [5] pages, died from a cerebral hemorrhage.
- February 28, 2007 saw the celebration of the 5th Annual Golden Acorn Awards. The event saw so many Rangerphiles attempting to log onto the Café that the boards suffered a crash which lasted about an hour before being restored. This only acted to grow the anticipation of said awards, and the wait was well worth it. The awards saw the first five-way multiple tie (for Best Original Female Character), as well as close contests and multiple winners in many categories.
- Also on February 28, 2007, the Acorn Café, principle seat of the Rangerdom, set an attendance record of 35 individuals on the board at a single time. This record was set at 9:31 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, and replaced the old record of 29 set during the previous Golden Acorn Awards.
