In January of 1977, Mona Delitsky published Cosmoconnection #2. This zine contained four pieces of Space: 1999 fan fiction. It also contained a fan adapation of the episode, Earthbound.
On January 11, 1994, alt.comics.fanfiction was created for the purpose of comic book fans having a place to post their comic book related fan fiction. The FAQ for the group was maintained, originally, by Andy Jones. (j_man2@hotmail.com )
In January 2003, the first Harry Potter slash zine was published. (Rachel Shave)
On January 11, 2004, the Wicked LiveJournal community wicked_fanfic was created. [1]
