In 1997, Guide Posts was founded. It was the "original" Sentinel gen fan fiction archive. The archive stopped adding new stories in January of 2002. It had over 3,000 stories archived.
On January 19, 1999, the aoshimisaofics mailing list was created for the Rurouni Kenshin pairing of Aoshi/Misao. [1]
By January of 2003, the Westlife fandom had also gotten into self published anthologies of stories. Their book was "Westlife Fan Fiction" edited by Lesley Slee, Aisling O'Hagan. (Amazon.Com)
On January 19, 2003, the LiveJournal community arrrrr was founded. [2] It was dedicated to Pirates of the Caribbean fan fiction.
On January 19, 2004, the LiveJournal community andropotterist was founded. [3] It was dedicated to Harry Potter fan fiction.
