- On June 1, 1998 Byron "TheBoz" Crowe releases "The Ranger Code", although an earlier beta test version was released in May of that year. Based around the infamous "Geek Code" it allows Rangerphiles to instantly see relevant information about another Rangerphile in a glance. This information eventually grows to include such trivia as which Ranger is that individuals favorite, how devoted to the fandom that individual consideres him/herself, and the standing of that individual in the "Pro Vs. Anti" debate. [1]

- "On June 14, 2007, jagwriter78 [40] reported that Ptftulsa (profile here) had created two different videos that used clips from jagwriter78's video as well as from humansrsuperior[41], and posted it on YouTube. The detailed original report is here. As Jagwriter indicated, the videos in question not only had many of the same sequences, but also had the watermarks. I contacted Ptftulsa, who did not reply. However, both videos have since been removed. And currently, at least, it does not appear that the videos s/he has on YouTube have watermarked clips. I will add Prftulsa to the list of known plagiarists." [42]

- On June 15, 2001, Avocado discovered that Cassandra Claire had plagiarized from Pamela Dean. Avocado discovered that this was not just a few words but extensive plagiarism, involving passages. [43] After discovering this, Avocado e-mailed Cairnsy to ask her if this was plagiarism that would warrant action on FanFiction.Net's part.

- On June 18, 1988, the first Beauty and the Beast Convention was held in Los Angeles at the Hyatt Hotel. Guests included Ron Perlman, and David Schwartz.
- On June 18, 1995, the first A-Team website was opened by sockii containing an episode guide, fanzine information, and other trivia related to the show. Later on the site would expand to include an image gallery and an archive for fan fiction previously printed in fanzines.
- On June 18, 2004, the Australian Placebo LiveJournal community everybrokenbone was created. [44]
