May I ask why we are trying to deemphasize fanfic in the tv pages? Roesmoker 02:10, 29 December 2007 (CST)

To make the wiki less specifically fanfic-centric and cover all other areas of fanwork activity: vidding, art, conventions, etc. It's not to lessen the importance of any one area of fanworks but be more all-inclusive.--Sidewinder 06:45, 29 December 2007 (CST)
When Fan History was first created, it was intended more as a history of fa fiction and fan fiction communities. In light of how the wiki involvement, in realizing that fan fiction cannot be separated culturally and historically from other fanac, and as a result of outside feedback, the scope of Fan History has changed to embrace the history of all fandom.
In terms of pages in the section, on fandom pages it mostly means if you see the phrase "Influential Stories," change it to "Influential Fanworks." If you see the phrase "this fan fiction community" in the timeline and terminology lead ins, just take out the word fan making it "this fan community." --Laura 08:04, 29 December 2007 (CST)
OK, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. I'll keep that in mind when editing.Roesmoker 22:33, 29 December 2007 (CST)

[edit] Television fan fiction

Bandfic, comics and anime all have pages which detail their histories. Is it worth adding an article like that to the requested list? --Laura 11:30, 29 December 2007 (CST)

[edit] First name to first and last name...

I cleaned out the Category:CSI characters category. Not quite certain what other fandom categories need to be cleaned out. Help? --Laura 08:32, 3 January 2008 (CST)
