Ferret is a Harry Potter term that is often used in fanfiction to insult Draco Malfoy, or in some cases as his Animagus.

On July 8, 2000, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was released. In the book, the fake Mad-Eye Moody (Barty Crouch, Jr) turns Draco into a ferret to teach him a lesson.
