[edit] Introduction
Final Fantasy X-2 was released for the Sony Playstation by Square-Enix in 2003. It was the first official Final Fantasy sequel, and takes place 2 years after the events in Final Fantasy X. It also has the distinction of being the first (and so far only) FF game to feature an all-female party.Unlike its predecessor, FFX-2 is not a strict turn-based RPG. It also differs from FFX in that there are only 3 playable characters. The game is highly controversial in the Final Fantasy fandom, with many fans who enjoyed it as well as many vocal detractors. Some fans disliked the game because of these reasons, others hought that the story was silly compared to FFX, and that Yuna's change was unrealstic. The Final Fantasy Wiki's Lamest Thing Ever poll is proof of some fans' lingering disappointment.
