[edit] Introduction
The main characters on Fullmetal Alchemist are Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric. However, most of the fan fiction based on this show has historically centered around the yaoi (or slash) pair of Roy Mustang and Edward. It found a dedicated audience in fansubs before it premiered on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim in November of 2004.
