[edit] Author entitlement

This event took place on May 13, 2009. It is described on sf_drama as follows:

Over in Neil Gaiman's lj feed, Neil talks about George R. R. Martin's slow writing progress and talks about entitlement issues of fans. But [info]aeldergoth disagrees. Which is fair enough, he's entitled to his opinion, but his tone and insulting the other readers with; 'Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to lock down my journal, lest it be carpetbombed for having the temerity to disagree with an unbalanced fan's Own Personal Jesus.' does not go down well.
Includes him saying that if an author doesn't give progress updates, it's basically saying 'piss off' to fans, and also that he's basically saying 'the dog ate my homework'. And of course, claiming that he's not complaining, whilst writing long posts complaining. [1]
