Glee is a Fox TV musical comedy-drama television series which first aired in May 2009. The stories revolve around the high school show choir (or glee club) at William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. The show was quickly picked up by members of media fandom and began to develop a fandom community on-line, particularly on LiveJournal.
