Great Expectations

Great Expectations: A World of Dancing Lights was held July 5-18 in Austin, Texas at the Doubletree Hotel. The guests were Edward Albert, Roy and Kay Dotrice, Ritch Brinkly, Terrylene, Kim Clark, and David Schwartz. This was the first time that Jamie Murray, as his alter-ego Myhr, was the MC at a major Beauty and the Beast convention.

Fans attending included Pat Jackson, Wayne Kelley, Margaret Davis, Paulette Edwards (Con registration), Teri Johnson (Con Fanzine/Music Videos ), Lucy Green( Dealer's tables), Kristene Newcomb (the art show) and Lisa Gould.

A Charity Auction followed the Banquet David Schwartz and Edward Albert shared the auctioning. The best item was an actual costume worn by Ron Perlman, sent to the auction by Witt-Thomas and modeled by Edward Albert. This item was so special, that instead of one person buying the costume, a syndicate was put together of all the fans, and the costume was auctioned for $3785.

Proceeds went to the Pediatric AIDS League of Austin.
