[edit] The Band

Guns N Roses was formed in 1985 from the remains of Hollywood Rose and LA Guns. The original line-up consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, guitarists Izzy Stradlin and Slash, bassist Duff McKagen and drummer Steven Adler. In 1990 the band began to splinter apart, beginning with the firing of Adler for “excessive drug use”. Stradlin quit the band in 1991, with Slash leaving in 1996 and McKagen quitting in 1997, leaving Rose as the sole original member. Between 1986 and 1991 they released 3 studio albums, 2 EP's, 1 live album and 1 covers album. The fourth studio album, Chinese Democracy, has been in production since 1994.

[edit] Leaking music

In June 2008, Kevin Skwerl leaked nine Guns N Roses songs from their upcoming disc, Chinese Democracy. [17][18] Axl Rose was not happy about this. [19] "Upon returning to work from lunch, a team of FBI agents “ambushed” the Web scribe and forced him to pull the unauthorized music." [20]

On August 27, 2008, the blogger Kevin Skwerl was arrested for leaking nine Guns N Roses songs on-line. [21] [22] The blogger was arriagned later that say.

In the end, the Judge ruled that his bail be in the form of a signature bond at $10,000. What that means is that [[Kevin Skwerl|Skwerl] has to remain within the Central District of California until his next court date or someone has to cough up that 10k. So for now, he’s home… Stay tuned.
Moving forward, a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for September 17th at 4:30 PM and the arraignment for September 22nd at 8:30 AM. Both will be at the U.S. District Court Building, and the address is 255 East Temple Street, Third Floor, in Downtown Los Angeles. [[23]]
