[edit] Introduction
Hard Core Logo is a 1996 independently released feature film, done in documentary style, that follows the waning days of a once well known (fictional) punk rock band. Through a series of video diaries and interviews, the band's members are introduced and the audience is given a lot of conflicting impressions. There is no reliable narrator to this film, which fits well with the homage to punk rock the film was meant to be.
The primary characters are the band members:
Joe Dick, Lead singer, played by Hugh Dillon
Billy Talent, lead guitarist, played by Callum Keith Rennie
John Oxenberger, bass player, played by John Pyper-Ferguson
Pipefitter, drummer, played by Bernie Coulson
Much of the fandom concentrates on the Joe Dick/Billy Talent relationship.
Some appeal for the members of the fandom was the appearance of Callum Keith Rennie who was popular and well recognized for his portray of Stan "Ray" Kowalski in Due South.
