Help:Page names

There are a few page naming conventions on this wiki:

  • Each fandom gets its own page. The name should be complete and should not need a (parentheses) after it. Fandom page names and take precedent over mailing lists, LiveJournal communities and other same named pages.
    • Names for anime fandoms should use the English language release name, not the Japanese one.
  • If fanzines have been produced in that fandom, the fanzines are not listed on that page but are listed on a page name Fandom_fanzines and the fanzines are sorted by year.
  • For pairings and characters, full names should be used, especially when characters have common names. Example: Catherine can refer to Catherine Willows, the CSI character or Catherine Bloom, the Gundam Wing character. If a character does not have a last name, use (parentheses) with the fandom in it to denote which fandom the character is from.
  • Mailing lists, LiveJournal communities, InsaneJournal asylums, MySpace groups should have (parentheses) with the type of group after them if name duplication in fandom is suspected. If name duplication outside of fandom is suspected, (parentheses) with the name of the fandom should be used. Example for CSI might be CSI (mailing list) for a CSI mailing list named CSI.
