- The Hornblower fan community was created in April 1999 on the A&E message boards. At that time, we were not known as Horatians. The name came later.[1]
- Horatians.org had their "first convention to gather our like minds in October 1999 at Baltimore, Maryland. " [2]
- "In the autumn of 2002, our QueueMistressMags made us our own forum - Horatians.org." [3]
- On June 28, 2002, the LiveJournal community mr_hornblower was created. [4]
- By 2004, the term drabble was being used in this fandom.
- On December 31, 2007, the LiveJournal community horatians_orglj was created. [5]
