Below is a timeline of fandom related events that took place in Iceland.

• In November 2007, the bit torrent site Torrent.is, which catered only to residents of Iceland, shut down as a result of a lawsuit brought by SMAIS, the Icelandic equivalent of the MPAA. "The site claimed as much as 10% of Iceland’s population as members," [1] and was probably important in allowing members of fandom in Iceland get materials that had yet to run in Iceland.
