Jack/Ianto, sometimes also referred to as janto or JackxIanto, is the pairing of Captain Jack Harkness and Ianto Jones from the series Torchwood. It is arguably the most popular 'ship on the series, especially since it became canon on the show.

Serialized fiction and very lengthy WIPs are very popular and frequent in Jack/Ianto fandom, to the extent that it has caused some kerfluffles within various LiveJournal communities devoted to the pairing.[1] In early 2009, members of the jackxianto community began to complain to the moderator and leave the community because of the volume of very short "chapters" being posted daily by numerous very prolific authors. When the moderator asked writers to consolidate their posts and post less frequently, several authors flounced out of the community to start their own, epicproportion. There was a great deal of snark and mockery of the situation in the who_anon community.[2],[3],[4],[5],[6],[7]
