James Potter, father of Harry Potter from the Harry Potter series.
James Potter slash started to take off in 2003-2004, and has been growing ever since, with James paired mainly with Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Severus Snape, Lucius Malfoy and Peter Pettigrew.
Stag Night is currently the largest collection of James slash in the Harry Potter fandom.

- The first James Potter slash archive was created by Sarvihaara in march 2001 as Forever Now.
- The archive became the Potter Slash Archive in late 2001 when Sarvihaara started archiving Harry slash as well.
- The Harry and James sections of the Potter Slash Archive were separated in mid 2006 when Sarvihaara passed over the Harry section to new moderators, and created Stag Night as the new James archive.
